The Blue Save's First Mixer: New Members and $22,000 in Donations!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our first membership mixer! Your enthusiasm has been overwhelming. A fantastic number of attendees became members, and we accepted amazing donations (posts coming soon!)
The Blue Save aims to be the North Star, helping DHS employees, retirees, and their families find their way and stay on the path to improving their morale, wellbeing, resiliency, and the communities in which we live and work.
How? Fostering community connections and service, offering mentorship, family activities, networking events, and aiding families during times of need. We're committed to building unbreakable bonds amongst families and coworkers in DHS by connecting employees, retirees, and their families to opportunities that can often be difficult to find on their own, in the here and now. Many organizations provide much needed help to our loved ones who have passed, thankfully. Unfortunately, organizations who support our employees and retirees in the present are rare – we are filling in that gap.
Your involvement and vision has been crucial to our success. We have four months in with over $25,000 raised! Thanks to people like Bradley K. Ward and Robert Deleidi at CrossCheck Group, John Sanders, Bert and Linda Hinton, and many other members, these plans have quickly become reality. And thank you to Rai's Rendezvous for accommodating us with such amazing food and service!
